Came here fort birthday dinner. Interesting enough I had never heard of this place and as much as I love a good steak, I'm upset I'm just finding out about it. The service was awesome, we arrived a few mins past our reservation time, but no issues with getting us seated immediately. We both enjoyed the 10oz ribeye and shared a side of garlic spinach. For dessert we had a scoop of ice cream and a slice of vanilla basque cheesecake. We were extremely happy with our food and I'm eager to go back soon. Very nice ambiance too. Great for a girls night out or a date!

Was here with a large group. The service was good. The steaks were good. We did a fixed menu, so I cannot judge vs the regular menu.

We dined here for our anniversary & it was great! The service is unmatched & our waiter was great. The wine selection is great! We ordered steak tartare for an appetizer and it was delicious. The steaks were cooked very good & tender. Our sides were great as well. We didn't order the corn & were told it was accompaniments of the chef, but were charged half for it. Not a huge deal but not what we were expecting. The dessert was great as well! I'd highly recommend coming here if you want good service & a good meal. Definitely will be back!

My husband and I had reservations for the wine cellar and when we showed up were promptly sat. Our server was very attentive and everything went very smoothly. Being a steakhouse I want my steaks cooked perfectly and both of our steaks were. Probably one of my top 3 favorite waygu beef tartare! We got a side of the truffle parm fries which were a bit on the salty side but still tasty. It was a very nice touch for them to give us a free dessert of our liking for our anniversary. I am glad we sat down in the cellar. The cellar was cozier and the right mood for our dinner. The cellar wasn't as loud as the upstairs portion.

A couple of friends decided to get together and we ended up coming here for dinner. To note, I've been to KRS a couple of times, which all have been mostly positive, I just forgot to write a review, LOL. Moreover, where was I.. Yes, came in a group of 8 and we got sat down quickly (Reservation was made). Were greeted quickly by our waiter, which he then started explaining the menu and gave us some time to pick our drink starters. I decided to get an Old Fashioned, which was really good, hard to mess it up. We later did some apps. Started with what the waiter suggestion, which was the Wagyu tartare, which was super flavorful, very meaty and extremely delicious; They knocked it out of the park with that one. Later, decided on the steak and frites as I wasn't as hungry, which was pretty good, just super salty, like extremely. My friends all got cowboy steaks, amongst other options, which they all seemed to enjoy. Overall, good experience as usual, Good service and food, so no complaints here (well, other than the salt level, but that's just me). I'll be back

Came to eat here tonight with my parents, they celebrated their birthdays earlier this month and we decided to step it up a notch and go downtown for a combined meal this year. Valet parking only here, they work off gratuities so remember that as they run to get your car as it was pouring outside tonight! We were immediately seated at our scheduled time, in a table I had sat in before with coworkers in the corner. The manager heard me speaking about it and how I enjoyed that with my colleagues he offered to put me there once again. Super cool, great view of the dining area and very quiet in the corner. I think my parents really enjoyed that. Antrane was our server and she crushed it tonight. Came over and took our drink order then proceeded to absolutely kill it for me tonight; made me look like a good son! For apps- we went with the Wagyu bbq short ribs, and the Lobster fritters and split a wedge salad between the three of us, they also chopped and split the portions for us. I'm going to tell you that the short ribs were crazy good, melt in your mouth barely a need to chew. The lobster fritters were perfectly cooked, beautiful texture and flavor. Wedge salad was so flavorful with the homemade dressing and pappadew peppers- what a new flavor on a traditional salad. My dad and I split the steak for two (porterhouse), cooked to perfection. My mother got an 8 oz strip and she normally gets it cooked well done. She was mowing the steak down and we had two sides of sauce to try- Bernaise and peppercorn. Both were super flavorful and enhanced the steak (truth be told the steak is the star and didn't need sauce) As for sides: creamed spinach and scalloped sweet potatoes (full portions) charred jalapeños creamed corn and roasted mushrooms (half portions). We ate more than we normally would've, but it seemed too good to stop. They were super generous to give both my parents a complimentary dessert since they have back to back bdays in March. My dad took one of each sorbet flavors (mango, pear, strawberry) and my mother did the vanilla bread pudding with cheesecake ice cream. My goodness! After all that food and a bottle of wine, still cleaned the plates! It's unheard of in our family. On the walk out, I noticed Chef Rathbun and he spoke with us for a few minutes. Told him I'd been familiar with his work and watched him and his brother battle on Iron Chef. We have been to many steakhouses in Chicago but this one really is next level. My thanks to the kitchen and Antrane, and especially Chef Rathbun for a memorable evening. It's super cool to get to meet chefs who are so talented and the staff that make them look bigger than rock stars for special moments like this. Support small owned businesses!

This was hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had all year. It had been a few years since I've visited the restaurant and I forgot how good the food is. We went on a Tuesday evening to celebrate my birthday and the restaurant was packed. Reservations were made prior and we were sat immediately. Complimentary bread was provided and it was tasty. I ordered a Persian peach for my cocktail and it was superb. I started with delicious lobster fritters and got a NY strip for my entree. We ordered truffle fries, macaroni and cheese and creamed corn for sides. My steak was made to my specifications and was delectable. The corn and mac & cheese were absolutely delicious as well. All of the staff that we encountered were wonderful and I look forward to returning soon.

Late review from 08/08/23. But here it is. We absolutely enjoyed our dining experience. This includes the food and the service. Though the basement dining area is ok, we would have rather been in the main dining area, upstairs. I think being in the main dining area would've enhanced our experience! Our servers, Rick & Adam were stellar! Both were very engaging & accommodating....their dedication to those they serve was superb and it shows they truly love proving an experience, not just a meal. Well done, and we will definitely go again, soon!
